Thomas Parsons’ Charity is able to offer support to the people of Ely in various ways. These are as follows:
There are 25 Almshouses in Ely and these are available to persons residing in the former urban district (see our area covered page) and who are not less than sixty years of age, experiencing need, hardship or distress.
You may wish to contact the Superintendent in the first instance to discuss your application. Details for the Superintendent can be found on our Contacts page. Applicants also need supporting paperwork from either Social Services, Citizens Advice or similar organisations.
The Charity is also able on occasion to give grants to certain persons. Such grants are to those persons experiencing need, hardship or distress. Applicants should be resident in the former urban district of Ely (see our area covered page).
